On Thursday 18th May 2017 year 10 students participated in ‘Chemistry at Work’ day. The aim of the day was to highlight the many different careers that involve Chemistry and to inspire pupils to study the subject at a higher level. The pupils attended eight different workshops. Some of the workshops included areas of fire safety, asbestos, poisons, drug testing and lots more.
All pupils that attended were very impressed with the day’s learning. ‘The day was fun as well as educating us on the different scientific jobs that we could do when we leave school,’ commented Haleema Sadia.
