Mrs Saleem and the Science department were very pleased to welcome Leticia Kent to School on Wednesday 5th July to talk to our Year 9 students about her work as a cardiac radiographer.
Leticia works at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage specialising in providing imaging for the cardiac catheterisation laboratory to aid in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and the insertion of stents. Leticia has also worked providing imaging services throughout the hospital. X rays for the Accident and Emergency Department, in-patient and out-patient services as well as hospital theatre work.
Leticia was able to offer a glimpse into a career that not many people know about, the pathway to it and to promote Science along the way.
The students were very enthusiastic and asked a lot of questions about career paths into radiography.
