Following last year’s successful participation in Luton’s Race for Life, Culture Club reps have asked that we again participate this year. The all-female 5-kilometre event is scheduled to take place in Stockwood Park on Sunday 5th July, starting at 11.00am. The organisers, Cancer Research UK, hope that 3000 girls and women from all across the region will take part and raise £196,000 through sponsorship for their charity.

The organizers have informed me that entry this year will costs £12.99 per person. This is to cover the cost of organising and running the event on the day and means that all sponsorship money that you raise will go directly towards their work into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer. Unfortunately this fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Last year we were well represented by both staff and pupils. Would anyone wishing to be part of our school entry this year please complete the consent slip at the bottom of the attached letter, complete the attached personal details form, and return both to me as soon as possible along with a non-returnable fee of £12.99. Cheques should be made payable to Challney High School for Girls.
