Course content

BTEC Level 1 Home Cooking Skills focuses on the skills students need to prepare delicious and nutritious home-cooked foods from fresh ingredients. As well as passing on cooking knowledge to give students the basic skills and confidence to feed themselves and their family in a healthy cost effective way.

If students progress well through the course, there might be an opportunity to continue to do a Level 2 qualification.

 

How will students be assessed?

There is no examination in this course.  There will be continuous unit assessment through various tasks.
