Challney High School for Girls is a successful and inclusive school with outstanding facilities, friendly staff and a highly supportive environment with Progress 8 Scores in the top 20% of UK schools for the last 2 years. We are looking to appoint a passionate and inspiring practitioner who will build upon the successes of the History department and lead and develop an innovative curriculum that allows our girls to achieve the best possible outcomes having had the best possible experiences.

Our students make good progress; their attitudes and behaviour are exemplary and they are a joy to teach. History is one of the most chosen subjects at KS4 with a dedicated and hardworking team of teachers. This post would suit a motivated, ambitious individual who is looking to take this key EBACC subject to the next level. We would welcome applications from colleagues across the experience spectrum- the key is that you have the drive, commitment and subject expertise to help the girls achieve better than they could ever expect to.
