Design and Technology
Curriculum intent
Design and Technology (including Engineering, Food, Textiles and Child Development) is a practical and valuable subject. It enables young people to actively contribute to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of themselves, their community and their nation. It teaches how to take risks and so become more resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable.

Key Stage 3
Students rotate on a DT carousel where they get the chance to experience different areas of DT where they learn and develop skills in the different subject areas. The subject areas which are currently offered to the students are;
- Child Development
- Engineering
- Food & Hospitality
- Textiles
