Parents Evening
Parents’ evenings take place throughout the academic year. Attendance at parents' evening is important as it provides time to speak with your child's teachers and find out how they are getting on at school. It is an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and also for the teachers to explain how you can support your child with their learning at home.
An academic parents evening takes place for every year group, where you will have the opportunity to meet the staff who teach your daughter and discuss their progress.
In addition to these parents’ evenings:
- Year 11 has a progress review day at the start of the Autumn Term and an additional Targeted Parents Evening takes place in the spring term for selected students.
- Year 7 has a Meet the Tutor day at the end of Autumn Term 1 to talk about how each student has settled into the school.
You can find the dates of these evenings on the school calendar.
Appointments for Parents’ Evenings can only be made using Epraise. The date from which you can make an appointment will be sent to you via Parent Mail approximately 3 weeks prior to each Parents’ Evening. Epraise uses timed appointment slots and, if you miss your slot, it will not be possible to rearrange on the night.
Please note that some teachers may teach several classes in your child’s year group. If this is the case, appointments will be issued on a first come, first served basis. If you are unable to make an appointment to see your child’s teacher then it might be possible to arrange a telephone conversation or email update at a later date.
If you require any assistance with using Epraise, then please contact your daughter’s Assistant Head of Year.
