Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Challney High School for Girls.
Welcome to Challney High School for Girls; a World Class, Outstanding School. Whether you are a student, parent or a prospective candidate for a post, we hope this website gives you an insight into our vision and values, and the range of rich activities which take place within the school and beyond.
It is my privilege to lead Challney High School for Girls. We are proud of the high standards achieved by all our students, and of the experienced and talented staff who care deeply for them and make a significant difference to their outcomes.
We are a school which is enormously proud to serve its community and our aim is to ‘Develop influential women of the future’ so that they have the capacity to pursue any avenue they choose. We believe that fundamental to this is creating an environment that balances both challenge, support, encouragement and nurture. We achieve this through a strong academic curriculum, exceptionally high expectations and outstanding pastoral care. We are unashamedly aspirational for our students but we also want them to enjoy their time at school; to feel happy, safe and secure.
Our students are extraordinary young women. They are kind, ambitious, have a strong work ethic and an incredible sense of purpose to support others. We are extremely proud of them. Through our school values of Respect, Opportunity and Achievement, we aim to support our students to achieve more than they ever believed possible and to prepare them to make a difference to the world around them, locally, nationally and internationally.
Our school is part of the Chiltern Learning Trust and our students and staff benefit from the opportunity to work with those beyond our school gates. As a Trust, we work together to ensure that all our students receive the best possible outcomes.
I hope our website gives you a good introduction to Challney High School for Girls but there is no better way to experience the school than to visit us in person. Please contact us if you would like to visit the school.
