Extended Learning

Students are set extended learning work regularly (once a week) at KS3 and KS4 by their class teachers.  This is to ensure the students achieve their targets and beyond.

This work is set on Epraise by a class teacher with a submission date.  Extended Learning is also uploaded to Google Classroom, where students can access materials remotely from home.  Teachers regularly upload classwork to Google Classroom so that students who are absent can catch up anything they have missed.

Students submit work in class on Google Classroom and via email, depending on the instructions of the class teacher.

Extended Learning may include:

·         Practice exam questions at KS4

·         Flipped learning using GCSEpod, Seneca, SAMLearning

·         Writing PEEL paragraphs

·         Additional reading

·         Additional research

·         Creative opportunities to enrich curriculum knowledge at KS3

·         Completing work started in lesson

·         Improving work drafted or assessed in class

·         Revision of knowledge and preparation for assessments in both key stages
